The Jozi Collective Pop-Up: Bringing South African Fashion Home

Thabo Kopele

Following the success of our Cape Town presentation, Home as We Know It, The Jozi Collective is proud to present its first Johannesburg Pop-Up, a three-day retail and cultural experience celebrating the creativity, craftsmanship and future of South African fashion.

Taking place from 6–8 August 2026, the pop-up brings together six South African fashion brands, offering visitors the opportunity to discover, shop and connect directly with some of the country’s most exciting independent designers.

More than a retail experience, the Jozi Collective Pop-Up is a celebration of local creativity and the people behind it. Every garment represents a story of dedication, culture, innovation and craftsmanship. By creating a shared space for these designers, we hope to encourage meaningful conversations around the value of buying local and investing in South African design.

Johannesburg has long been a city where fashion, music, art and culture intersect. As The Jozi Collective continues to build platforms for South African designers, bringing this experience to Johannesburg feels both natural and necessary. It is an opportunity to create a space where the industry and the public can engage with fashion in a more personal way—meeting the designers, understanding their creative journeys and experiencing collections beyond the traditional runway.

The pop-up will feature collections from:

Fikile Sokhulu

Fikile Sokhulu

Masemola

Movundlela

Thabo Kopele

Oyama Gonintebe

Tovch

The experience opens with an invitation-only VIP and Media Preview on Thursday, 6 August, welcoming members of the media, buyers, stylists, industry leaders and cultural tastemakers for an evening dedicated to celebrating South African fashion. The pop-up will then be open to the public on Friday, 7 August and Saturday, 8 August, giving visitors the opportunity to explore the collections, shop directly from the designers and experience the work up close.

At The Jozi Collective, we believe South African fashion deserves spaces that are intentional, collaborative and rooted in community. This pop-up reflects our ongoing commitment to championing local designers, creating commercial opportunities and building a stronger ecosystem for African creativity.

Whether you’re discovering a designer for the first time or supporting one you’ve followed for years, we invite you to join us in celebrating the remarkable talent shaping the future of South African fashion.

We look forward to welcoming you.
